I’m Clarissa, an illustrator and painter from Brownsville, TX. I have an MFA in Illustration Practice from the Maryland Institute College of Art. I received my B.A. in Art from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. I work digitally and in traditional mediums that include oils, watercolors, and ink. A majority of my work carries a narrative about nature, my personal life, social issues, my Mexican heritage, Tejano culture and community.
